Protecting the privacy of our beneficiaries, donors and well-wishers is a priority to the OrphanCare Trust. We value your trust and handle information about you with care. The OrphanCare Trust does not share information about our beneficiaries, donors and well-wishers to any outside institutions/organizations. We limit access to beneficiaries, donors and well-wishers information to those parties who need to know that information to provide and support to you. We completely understand the importance of protecting your data and we wish to make certain that you comprehend the terms and conditions that govern the retention and use of your data.

Information Collection

When dealing with our beneficiaries, donors and well-wishers, we collect personal information that we believe to be relevant and required to understand your needs and to conduct our initiative.

We generally do not collect sensitive information (such as information relating to ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a political or trade associations or health), and would not do so without your consent.

How we collect information

Generally, we collect personal information directly from you, such as when you submit a donation, show interest in partnering with the project, show interest to be a fund collection point, when you submit to be a beneficiary, when you participate in response to our advertising or direct mail or when you have other dealings with us. We may collect that information over the telephone or internet, in person and when you write to us. We may also collect personal information through third parties such as:

  • Referees (if you give us the name of someone, who can give a reference about you)
  • Publicly available sources of information.
  • Via Website Usage

For each visitor to our website, our web server automatically recognizes the consumer's domain name and e-mail address (where possible). A technology called 'cookies' may be used to collect aggregate information on the individual pages accessed by users, average time spent on specific pages, identify a user on his/her return etc.

No Disclosures Outside Of Exceptions

We do not disclose any non-public personal information about our orphan’s or donor’s to anyone, except as permitted by law. We may disclose all of the information we collect as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. Those third parties contractually agree not to use the information for any other purpose.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

We restrict access to non-public personal information about you to those parties who need to know that information to provide support to you.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your non-public personal information.
